Obviously I'm not saying you can't be favor of xyz issue without doing any activism but if you do none ever for any issue then either you feel it's not worthwhile or you don't really care that much about any of these issues.. Trust me I completely identify with apathy but stop trying to make it sound strategic. Or like you're waiting in the wings for the right moment to spring into action. Just say I care to the extent I hope xyz happens and that's about it.
