One person’s favourite instrument can be another’s worst. My great love is for the pipe organ. I have a friend who absolutely hates the sound of any pipe organ often objecting “They have no gaps” Never managed to understand that idea.
For me the organ, (as it’s often called) is the 'King of Instruments' . Keep in mind however the differences between individual instruments and the acoustics they play into makes this a very complex question.
Instance, pipe organs contain different numbers of stops and not all stops with the same name sound the same from one to another. A skilled organ builder makes changes to their instrument according to the space they’ll play in and the kinds of music they’ll be used for.
Here’s a clip that begins to examine the complexity of one instrument.

As to pianos I’m not a huge fan of modern Yamahas finding them on the clinical side. Give me a Bosendorfer Grand anytime. However, singers often refuse to be accompanied by one. Elizabeth Schwarzkopf said of them “They sing over me”.
