Well, you would be correct, my dear Superbenni. But have you heard Jethro Tull's 1987 grammy winning hard rock/metal album Crest of a Knave?
In it, they shamelessly rip off Dire Straits much like Marillion did with early Genesis. It's also relatively well regarded and contains one of Ian's favorite JT songs (Farm on the freeway).
