DDD stands for DigitalDreamDoor, it was started by this old hippie named Lew as a site to promote his artwork then one day in like 2003 he went on a rant about Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarist list (as boomers were fond of doing at the time) and made his own list in response to it, and then he made a bunch more music lists and eventually the site grew popular enough to expand into a music forum.
