the most popular alcohol out there?
It's not like anise is a some hard to find plant.
I mean, I know it's quite disgusting for most human beings; but certainly not more than
Vodka or
Whiskey (and certainly not as disgusting as
gin-tonic).
And the idea/style/way/culture (the south, the heat, the ice, the water, the drink that never ends) should by itself be enough to make people want to drink it.
But no.
It's reserved to the south of Europe (
Italy/France/Spain).
How come this
marvellous drink hadn't spread across the world?
