Well ketchup goes well with anything made with ground beef, e.g. hamburg, meatloaf, Salisbury steak - yes even the gravy on the Salisbury steak needs ketchup for support. So Shepherd's/cottage pie isn't too far off imho.
Mint jelly on lamb chops is a brilliant idea. imho
