1. Go to your bookshelves (or wherever you keep books), close your eyes and randomly grab a book. Open to page 30 and quote the first full sentence on the page.
"The first primitive submarines were built during the 17th century, but it was not until the American Civil War in the 1860s that practical submersibles were develop."
2. You can keep only 3 books for the rest of your life. Which would they be?
- Jane Austen
- Physics or Astronomy
(I always rather read articles about science than read fiction)
- Music
(either a MusicHound or probably a biography like Keith Richards' Life)
3. What is your ethnic background?
English, Scotch-Irish, Scottish, German (Alsatian/Prussian) and Italian.
4. Describe one of the most embarrassing moments in your life.
HS gym class, indoor hockey. I was the goalie, and was suited up with pads and helmet, etc. Everyone was given goggles for eye protection. During the game my goggles fogged up pretty bad. I struggled to see anything. After letting 5 or 10 I asked for new goggles, but was denied and the goals kept piling up. I only made like two saves that game. I wasn't happy with the fact they scored 20 points against me, but I took it in stride. However during the whole game there was constant questioning about what happen to my goalie skills coming from the bleachers. See cause the day before I made 20 saves, and only let 2 goals go by, but then I had better goggles that game. I still remember a kid yelling "It's his hair!" That comment took off and it felt like Lord of the Flies in gym class. So for a split second I was embarrassed I was the only one in gym class with a Punk haircut.
5. What is your ultimate comfort food?
BLT - I love lettuce and tomatoes on any kind of sandwich, but bacon, lettuce and tomato wins the trifecta.
6. What is the last film you watched in the theater?
I honestly can't remember, it's been a while. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker perhaps. 2019 wasn't too bad year for movies, my favorite that year was
Alita: Battle Angel but I saw that on cable.
