Agnes of God (1985, Norman Jewison)
Been on a Jane Fonda roll since the Criterion Channel started their January salute to her. One of the films not in their retrospective is this one (based on a play by John Pielmeier) about a nun who believes her stillborn child was the result of an immaculate conception. Fonda plays a shrink brought into the convent to handle the situation. Haven’t seen it in years. A few Oscar nods went to the three leads (Fonda, Anne Bancroft, Meg Tilly).
