I am very impressed with your graphics, Neapolitan, especially that magnifying-glass look at what was going on when Obama transitioned to Trump. That's clever of you to identify the rallying Wall Street that you mentioned.

I sympathise with your exasperation about finding out what is really happening in the US. We live in what is sometimes called a "post-truth" era, in which politicians are prepared to tell bald-face lies and media sources distort and omit information to suit their political bias. That can happen on both sides of the aisle, though when it comes to lying politicians, I don't think there is much doubt any longer that the award for Most Flagrant Liars goes to Trump and his admin.

A quick google search of "Biden bans windows" led me to a fact-checking site with this unequivacal statement:-

Quote:
Joe Biden's climate change policy does not include baning windows as suggested by Donald Trump

Trump made a claim that Joe Biden's climate change and clean energy policy include banning windows. Research on Joe Biden's statements on his climate change and clean energy plans do not suggest any such intention. Furthermore, the fine print of Biden's actual climate change plan does not include any steps to 'ban windows.'

The statement was made by Trump in light of his long-standing and differing climate change policy compared to Biden, who in fact supports climate change and clean energy initiatives.

Therefore, there is no verifiable basis for Trump's claim that Biden wishes to ban windows to counter global warming.
Trump is notorious for not reading his Daily Presidential Briefings, for favouring one verbal denial from Putin, in Helsinki, over the intelligence assessment of a team of American specialists, etc. As tore's signature used to say, "In the age of information, ignorance is a choice", and Trump continually displays his willful ignorance. We - you, me and MB - research issues more thoroughly than Trump does, which is why he so often comes down on the wrong side of an issue and retweets discredited conspiracy theories. His misjudgements due to ignorance go back to his position on the Central Park 5, and take in, en route, his laughable notions about cleaning infected lungs with bleach. He doesn't know if Fredrick Douglass is alive or dead, and when he talks about windmills causing cancer, it's clear he hasn't done his homework: if he had, he'd know, at a minimum, that windmills, windpumps and wind turbines are 3 completely different machines.
