Would he still consider it “burning down your own home” if he couldn’t afford his rent?
I respect the pain in his voice. And I really do believe Atlanta is one of the best cities in the country for black people so that point is taken.
But going back to Wayne Williams and all the **** I saw growing up.
This is just a theory but look into it. The missing and murdered children from Atlanta at the time of my youth was the action of a racist white cop. Maybe they did the right thing covering that up. Maybe I wouldn’t be
alive if they let the truth out.
Atlanta is a comparative success story in many ways but there’s also a lot very nasty politics and white supremacy. **** covered up like crazy. And much of it is still a totally ****ing unlivable no hope no chance failure. And that’s our best?
They’ve moved the Braves and the Falcons out of downtown destroying all the income that brought in. The greatest black city in America can’t field a decent NBA team. It may seem off topic to talk about sports but it’s connected.
The Hawks administration sent a memo actively trying to make blacks feel less welcome at Hawks games because they were supposedly scaring the wealthier white people. I never saw racial conflicts at Hawks games and I went to a bunch of them during the Dominique era.
