I don't think America respects its citizens as beings capable of organized craziness and so they treat them like mushrooms, keeping them in the dark and shoveling **** when necessary, but China is much the same except they have a less lazy, less complacent, firmer hand. I'd say the Chinese government is more competent than the American government but I certainly wouldn't say they care more. I certainly don't think Xi Jinping cares less about himself and more for the people than Donald Trump does.
