Verdict on Nucleus' Roots, at first full listen: mainly nice smooth fusion, with two tracks that particularly caught my attention:-
 rocking track Odokamona has some little weird sampling add-ons
 the mood really slumps with a female vocalist on second track, Images. She sings in that dated, sultry style (James Bond movie meets Bossa Nova) about "making daisy chains in country lanes."
Overall, the musicians do a great job of keeping things afloat and interesting. Should've had the discipline to ditch the vocalist though.

You should check out We'll Talk About It Later. It's their best album and one of the best fusion albums of the 70s which is a high-ass mark.
