When I was in my late teens / early twenties I liked Sibelius a lot. I still do but it’s been a while.
With Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov do you know any particular compositions that blend the romantic side with a more impressionistic feel?
Recently I was listening to Chopin and I was struck by the music being more ethereal (and better) than I remember.
