EDIT: I was doing a little Wiki searching on food-fetishes and cannibalism, to get ideas (for the song, right!) and I found this. EXTREMELY INTERESTING.
A well-documented case occurred in Chichi Jima 1945, when the Japanese soldiers killed, rationed and ate eight downed American airmen. (Ninth downed, Lt.JG George H. Bush, was picked by submarine USS Finback, and avoided the fate.)
In other words, the now ex-president was very nearly eaten by cannibalistic Japanese soldiers. Fascinating, eh?
