Then after the show we actually met in person, and me being the introvert I am (quite literally in this sense) I only mustered up the nerve to say "hey real nice to meet you, great music", which I think only furthered his hypothetical disdain for me. So he handed me a peeled banana and walked off in a huff, and I told the boy I was mentoring that he probably found me to be a wretched cretin if that's all I could say and that I just wasn't respectful of his immense status and music and that his work on my stuff was a horrible mistake because I shouldn't be allowed to bask in his presence and ability.
