I'm watching Star Trek: The Next Generation, a show I watched five million times as a kid, for the first time in years, and I think I'm struck most by the sound of what I assume is air ducts that is in every scene I guess though it's generally below notice. It doesn't have to be there, but it's the one thing above all that lets you know you're on a starship and it's a thing I always noticed as a kid and it's great.
