Lol. Customer. Tbh the fact that you would ask that tells me you really shouldn't be stealing.
My brother got hit with a felony for stealing some wine from work at the grocery store. Apparently "theft from employer" is a different category of theft in NC. His dad got him a lawyer and got it dropped. But yeah. Beyond that, your employer knows you better than some random customer. Habitual theft can leave a trail of evidence the workplace that comes back to bite you. Especially if you're stealing the actual product they're selling rather than back end supplies.
Just avoid it tbh. There's not that much to gain from it anyway vs the risks.
