I first heard "Kick Out the Jams" like a decade and a half ago and loved it but never heard anything else by MC5 for years. I knew the version I heard and listened to many times over the years wasn't the album version cause it was a studio song but just now I found out it wasn't even MC5. It was Bad Brains with Henry Rollins on vocals. I feel stupid, ashamed, but holy **** does Henry Rollins sound awesome in Bad Brains covering MC5.
