That’s cool. I feel a little bit if I had explained the why instead of just the how at the get-go I probably would have been more helpful.
Basically it boils down to pin pointing what you don’t know and transferring the information from short term to long term memory while not wasting time with the stuff you already know.
Also on the 45 minutes on 15 minutes off study pattern that 15 minutes off helps ensure the knowledge is in long term memory storage where it needs to be. If 25% down time seems too much read a text from another subject during the 15 off.
I also think you should try the three column note strategy instead of flash cards sometimes because it has the advantage of more time on what primary school teachers describe as “eyes on text”
