For straightforward, meat-and-potatoes kind of heavy metal, I recently found "Spirits of Fire" in YouTube and I'm really enjoying it (the singer is Tim "Ripper" Owens, forever "the other singer" in Judas Priest).
I've also been very hooked recently with Conception, a Norwegian Prog Metal band that released the EP "My dark symphony" last year. I enjoyed it so much that now I'm digging into the rest of their discography...
And for harder stuff, I'm listening a lot to Phil Anselmo & The Illegals, and a couple of bands I discovered lately via online radio, Asphyx ("Last one on Earth") and Incantation ("Onward to Golgotha").
What about you, care to drop a few names?
