I have never heard the definition you use echoed by any publications I've read or nihilists that I personally know. I'm talking about expressly existential nihilism which relates directly to
life. The universe is not a living being therefore I'm confused at how the entropy of the universe ties into philosophies that directly relate to the specific existence of living organisms and the meaning therein.
Recognizing the universe as just the universe is realism, but you seem to be the one conflating it with nihilism for some odd reason. Just cause you conflate the two doesn't make them the same. I see now where our confusion arises from.
