Most of those were blocked in my region. But I've heard the album before, even owned it. That being in past tense would tell you that I didn't love it. Broken English got me interested in her music where this and A Secret Life failed. Coming back to a couple of these songs, I think I might actually be able to change my mind about Before the Poison. A Secret Life, however, just comes off as kinda awkward to me. Angelo Balamenti works better for soundtracks in weird Lynch movies than as a backdrop for serious, mature pop songs. I do kind of find her musical choices in general to be questionable. I think going through her discography is gonna be a bit rough for me.

Not sure I enjoyed the rapping all that much, but the music has some serious vibes. A very pretty, dark cinematic feel that goes perfectly with the video.

This one is gonna take some more digesting. Didn't really click with it on this one listen, but there's seemingly enough interesting stuff going on here that I'd like to come back to it. I think there's some pretty neat things going on with the production. A lot of attention to detail.

It would be great if the whole album isn't necessarily this laid back, but there's not a musical vector along which this didn't strike me as very well done and very charming. Of course that dark, beautifully melancholic atmosphere is a huge part of the appeal here.
