That could be said for everything mentioned. Don't impose a lifestyle on someone who thought the greatest invention was somethign you didn't like. Im sure you decided that its the greatest invention to someone because its there only form of communication.
Computers have actually allowed us to map the human genome project, get results for high end math equations in seconds and break down scientific barriers we couldn't before.
Its not a bad guess, i'd say.
