The new restaurant I’m working in has investors. They can eat and go to the bar for free. I don’t mind pink on men at all but they’re always wearing really expensive business casual that has pink worked in. After they get drunk enough they wander back into to the kitchen.
Today one makes his way up to me. Doesn’t introduce himself or ask my name.
“What are you doing?”
“Cutting Mahi into strips?”
“How many Mahi are you making?”
My thoughts are like, “None. Mahi are fish. They’re caught in the ocean.”
“I’m not sure. A few hundred strips.”
“That’s a lot of Mahi! Can I help?”
“Sure. I’ll keep five filets on the cutting board. Every time I cut one into strips put a new one cutting the board”
He drops two on the floor and just leaves them there. Then puts his hands inches from long knife.
“Watch you hands.”
“Can I cut some”
“Sure!”
Takes two and doesn’t cut them but somehow manage to shred then with the knife. Destroys two more.
“I better go check on the wife.”
“Thanks a lot for your help!”
