Boy, Hawk, Elph is going to clobber you when he gets back
Best tracks- In Between Days, The Blood
Weakest Tracks- Close To Me, Six Different Ways
This is their most commercial album to date. It’s sort of like Robert Smith is trying to make the top forty while not losing his goth cred. I think he struggles to have his cake and eat it too.
It starts off with In Between Days which is obviously meant for single fodder. It’s their catchiest song to date. On the other hand, their other single, Close To Me, doesn’t impress me all that much. I mean it’s kind of meh.
And that’s it. The album, with a couple exceptions, comes off as fairly meh. It’s not terrible at all, but it isn’t all that impressive either.
