I can't remember who played this for me in plug the first time, but it was an eye-opening moment. I was slap bang in the middle of my bubblegum bass obsession, and to discover a track that had such a similar vibe, which was recorded about thirty years before the genre became popularized was quite awesome.
The track itself is a bop. Funky bass, smashing vocals and jamming synths. A top class breakdown towards the end that is totally
PC Music in all aspects. In fact, it sounds completely ripped from a
SOPHIE track.
