The Cure had a much different vibe going with this album. Very different from their debut which sounds like a singles collection in comparison. Moody and dark, the songs here fit together well from start to finish, giving it the aura of a concept album.
A good album that I probably would've given a 9/10 or higher back in 1980 but it's lost a bit of its impact on me since I was in my late teens and early twenties.
