I also applaud this clear statement of policy from the Mod Team. Well done guys, and thanks Exo!

Trollheart and a couple of you have posted some very kind remarks which I'm sure I don't really deserve, but thanks anyway.

A couple of things I try to keep in mind on MB are:-
i) I come here for pleasure, not aggravation
ii) at some level, all of us are kindred spirits: we all have an above-average interest in music.
iii) everyone has a right to an opinion

That's why, when I post here, my mindset is like sitting down in a café with friends. No difference of opinion is important enough to threaten the underlying camaraderie. One of the many reasons that I enjoy MB so much is that most posters, most of the time, keep the same sense of proportion.

^ Topic for a different thread really, but this always concerns me. People lurk or drift away and I think it'd be more tempting to newcomers if MB clearly showed that this is a friendly, united place - or as Gillian Welch puts it in The Way It Goes :-

People ought to stick together. That's the way to make a crowd.

(*cues up Kumbaya soundtrack*)
