This is right up my alley, I love early 70s music. However I really don't know too many bands that sound like Chicago.
One album I know that has a decent horn section is Them Changes. Buddly Miles played drums for Jimi Hendrix in Band of Gypsys. Buddy also released material on his own.
Them Changes is one of my favorite albums. If it doesn't answer your question, I hope you like it anyway.
