nah, a developer releasing a game thas is entirely built around dlc or micro transactions make me think that they either
A) dont think the game is good enough to keep players engaged so they try to bring in extra profit through additional content or in game purchases
or
B) just dont really care how their player base receives the game as long as they are making the most money possible.
i dont care about loot boxes or cosmetics. it's making someone pay $60 more in DLC to finish a game they already that much for in the first place. or rewarding a player who can fork out a fortune in a pay to win model while making someone who cant afford it have to grind twice as hard.

In fairness, I agree with this too. But if the DLC is Far Harbor quality, I honestly don't mind paying.
