San Andreas was awesome without needing a ***** bat.

The ***** bat is something I would never have noticed if the internet hadn't made it a thing, cause it's just a melee weapon and who uses the melee weapon unless you're tazing someone for the lulz? It's been forever since I played 2 though, and I'd love to play it again, so it's kind of hard for me to compare 2 to 3 and 4, but 3 and 4 are two of my absolute favorite gaming experiences of all-time. Whereas GTA 4 was a complete disappointment (and yeah that's clearly not directed at you).
But the GTA experience was different from the latter day Saints Row experience. The Saints Row experience was just pure cartoon nonsense that appealed to me on a primal level that the same way that GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas did, just, you know, differently. I consider all those games (sans GTA 4) as kind of all one amalgamated experience over a period of years.
