Genre: Folk/World/Country/Bluegrass

Hard not to like a bluegrass album really: they're just so much fun! Feel like I should be out in the moonlight with a mean dog and a shotgun, protectin' my still from the gubment! Love the silliness of “8 Dogs 8 Banjos” (sounds like Frownland's house!) and it contrasts sharply with the pathos of “Dearly Departed Friend”. I like how they can slow things right down and be all serious with tracks like that and “Firewater”, then kick out the stays and go all apeshit with “Brave Boys”, and to be fair, any band who can write a song called “Shit Creek” gets my vote. Yeah, absolutely love this to death.
