Linda and I met up with Sherri and Scott, and Mike and Brooke for dinner last night. Partway in Sherri hands Mike, Linda, and I little gift bags with the excuse that they were Xmas presents she forgot to give us.

Inside mine was a small piece of paper with the words "Congratulations! You're going to be a grandfather" (grandmother for Linda and uncle for Mike).

Shock, surprise, and happy tears.

The dinner itself went great. No-one would have guessed that we were in the middle of a divorce. Could tell the kids were very relieved to see us interacting with each other like nothing happened.
