Ok, scary shit...

When I was in the military, I watched a Warrant Officer with 2 weeks left until retirement get crushed with a forklift right in front of me. I served just before Desert Storm, so I was fortunate to not have to witness anything worse than that while doing my time.

I was homeless in a ghetto during a bad time in my life a long time ago. I was robbed a few times, beat up, dragged to the back of some projects to meet my death once, only to be saved by a policeman in a passing squad car. A couple of my friends have died in the same neighborhood. Shot, OD'ed, beat to death. That sort of thing.

When I was in prison, I witnessed a few beat downs. Some were within inches of where I was standing. When a GD or LK tells you to move over, it's probably in your best interest to comply so you're not caught up in the flurry of fists and boots to the skull of some poor misguided soul.

When I was a youngster my Dad would take us to the races. One time we were at a modified Sprint division race, the ones with the huge wings on top and open wheel type carts, when two of the open wheels connected and in an instant one of the cars was rolling end over end. Then the back axle came off, hurling through the air over me and landing in the stands about 20 feet to my right, killing 2 people.

Then, there's getting up on stage to perform in front of a large crowd. That's pretty ****ing scary.
