I see a little bit of Seventh Seal in your story, Troll. It's good, but I've always looked at vampires as something of a cartoon character (watched too many Count Chocula commercials as a kid, I guess). I would have had him make a deal with the devil. Then again, I have a fixation with devils for some reason. I like the humor in your story. I can't figure out how the vampire is able to read minds though. It doesn't take away from the story. Actually it's something that makes the reader wonder which could be a good or a bad thing.

Anyhow, it's a good read as usual. It's a very good short story. Have you thought about writing an anthology of short stories?
