The Quietus | Features | The Lead Review | Reach & Rootedness: Steve Reich so I can try to pick up the crumbs at what’s left. A review of the reviews? Well, Quietus understands this release much bettter than Pitchfork for whatever that’s worth. Clearly, when late in life, Reich nods to his cultural heritage we’re dealing with an important piece of music. Reich works it easily through his signature hypnotic style. Not radical and not meant to be.
