Oh ****! I almost forgot the best thing today. My coworker revealed to me that she doesn't take medicine because she doesn't trust it. She gave no good reasons for this, but I guess she felt sheltered by anti-vaxxers or some ****, but apparently medicine is bad or something. Yeah, just straight up medicine in general. I tried to tell her that the only reason she could even hold such a stance was because of all of the people around her in the world who did take medicine, but clearly the only proper response was to not look at me, cross her arms, kinda shake her head, and just hope I went away.
And I would have, cause who wants to debate that? Until... until she just offhandedly mentioned that she only recently LEARNED TO SWALLOW PILLS. Apparently before recent history she was liable to choke on a pill. Just straight up could not take medicine to save her life. Literally.
For all the vague nonsense she was half-heartedly trying to chuck at me, the only reason she didn't believe in medicine was because she was too incompetent to take it, and she was perfectly willing to throw all of medicine under the bus to cover up her lack of swallowing ability. I did not let this go unmocked. And by her own admission she was on her period. So I'm sure she wishes I was dead. All she'll have to do is cough at me I suppose.
