I mean, the adults, I'm sure they're traumatised, but they've got the experience and mental tools to get past this. The kids, not so much. Anyone even mentions the word school they're gonna freak. Poor goddamn kids. There needs to be a strong signal sent, with a very heavy sentence (the bail is a good start) but as you say, the chances that someone high up in the education system will get awkward questions fired at them means that this will, indeed, be swept under the filthy rug with all the other scandals, pay-offs, incomplete or never started investigations, reports etc.
