In 1965 Lee Morgan went into the legendary Van Gelder Studio with Reggie Workman, who was already featured on three Coltrane records and five Art Blakey records, and Billy Higgins, who had all of Ornette’s early classics on his resume. They record an excellent hard bop album of new material but Blue Note decides not to release it until 1981.

Then it goes out of print, probably because hard bop was hardly still in style, which is probably why they designed the cover to look like a fusion record.
Then it’s not released on CD until 98 (as goddamn limited edition) with this cover:
