An athlete's life span goes like this:
*Starts playing at the age of 4
*Below 13 - develops as an athlete
*Teens and 20's - at their prime
*30's - at their peak
*40's-retiring
*40's and beyond - either be a coach or work in the executive department of a team.

For a musician, it doesn't matter what age he starts. He can still play until his 70's and beyond.

Pls share your opinions.
Now THIS is a real topic! Music and sports have many things in common. 1. Both musicians and athletes are celebrities. 2. Music and sports both require discipline and hours of hard work. 3. Musicians and athletes must perform in front of a live audience. 4. If a musician makes a mistake, he/she will be talked about all over the news. If an athlete makes a mistake, he/she will be talked about all over the news.

But I think that music has the upper advantage. Don't get me wrong; I love sports but even sports cannot defeat music. I actually learnt some life-long lessons from listening to music and writing song lyrics. No, this is not a joke. I learnt some important moral values from my participation in music. I used to take part in some sports, but I didn't learn any moral values. Well, I learnt about the value of teamwork, but that's not really an important issue. You could also learn about the value of teamwork in a science/chemistry lab.

There can only be one winner... Musicians are better than athletes.
