This has to be one of the hardest questions I´ve heard in my entire life so far. I prefer the style of early Cure albums, atmospheric and dark and kind of artsy to a degree. However, I´m not a big fan of every single song on those records. Don´t get me wrong, I ****ing love them, it´s just that without the tracklists in front of me, I can´t remember every single one. Also, I´m not a fan of the post-Kiss era.
With The Smiths, I adore every single song on every single album. Yes, even Golden Lights. Morrissey and Marr are both among my all-time idols in music, and Moz´s solo career is a beast as well. The Queen is Dead and Meat is Murder are in my opinion two of the best records of all time. Timeless music and timeless lyrics.
Overall, The Smiths take the crown from Smith for me.
