Klezmer is Jewish party music played small bands. What I posted is traditional Klezmer from back in the day, but there are also modern bands like the Klezmatics who do some cool stuff by adding in some other influences.
I second Frownland's recommendation of Huun-Huur-Tu for Tuvan throat singing. They did an album with a group of Bulgarian singers called
Fly, Fly My Sadness that is amazing.
Also, if you're going to be checking out Bossa Nova, I highly recommend giving a listen to the album
Wave by Antonio Carlos Jobim.
