What should they do? Nuke them? Impose trade embargoes, and starve the Koreans further?
What's needed is a multilateral agreement for de-escalation. This means that the U.S., which has the second-largest nuclear arsenal in the world, must be willing to make compromises, and take its own steps to demilitarize the Korean peninsula. North Korea is the weaker part in the conflict, with a poor economy, only one reliable ally, and a history of foreign invasion. China's leadership understands this better than the U.S. leadership and most Western media.
