I've heard probably most of their singles and some scattered other tracks, but I figured since the Boring One just died I'd give a few of their albums an actual listen. I was at least hoping Hybrid Theory would be passable as pop, but just like all the rest of their contemporaries the overwrought singing and lyrics are cringey af, and the rhythmic nu metal guitar has none of the personality or melodicism of non-nu metal while the chunky tone has none of the texture or dynamic qualities of a real hip hop instrumental. I can listen to this album without wanting to poke out my eardrums but I'll be damned if I give a **** about this turd.
Stay dead, Chester.
