Dreamed I was making my way toward some station near Chicago to board a train, plane or ship which would take me and others to a compound in the arctic. I had been planning a trip up the east coast around christmas time, so I was greatly annoyed by this. (Immediately prior to this, I was attacked by a male family member. I was going to go report the incident before realizing that, if I did, we may end up having to be at the same compound which I wouldn't have been able to bear considering what he did.) We didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Along the way, golden mechanical beetles began appearing all around on the concrete path, weaving around everyone; it was known (suddenly, intuitively) that there was to be one golden beetle for every two people on earth. Many of us already had a beetle circling around us, but hadn't yet found the other person who would share this beetle. Some of the beetles would spontaneously grow in size. I had a beetle, I think, but I didn't touch it. I was suspicious. The others seemed to feel sorry for the beetles (even though they were mechanical-- or alien? it was unclear); they'd pick them up and say "Hey little buddy" while petting them sadly.
Once at the station, we all had to line up to receive this strange, rectangular metal (yet translucent?) panel. They were implanted into the backs of our arms. Each panel had about two rows of tiny square holes; after the panels were placed into the skin, the chipper lady at the counter would implant something into each of the square holes. That's all I remember.

Even so-called bad dogs are really just chaotic good boys.
