I think I saw FMJ at least 20 times, it is one of my favorite movies ever. Ermey played the best abusive drill sargent ever.
However, I have to ask.. have you seen any of his other performances ? He's not a good actor by any means, but that's not the point.
He's producing a series called "
GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey" and as a fan of things military, this is probably the closest to getting cancer from tv as you can get.

Anyway it's the most shallow, stereotypical and often very wrong show full of old men shooting guns and yelling "yeehaw" while doing so. Full of "experts" being baffled by obvious things.
