^ Yes, I was genuinely creeped out by this performance. Trump, true to form, starts out with a lie :-
"Never has there been a president....with few exceptions...who's passed more legislation, who's done more things than I have."
This is demonstrably untrue, just like his cr*p about the sun shining over his inauguration crowds. As CNN point out:-

Um, ok. While Trump has signed a number of executive orders and actions -- the most high profile of which, the so-called "travel ban" was, again, blocked by a court on Monday -- what he hasn't really done is pass actual legislation through Congress. The health care bill is tied up in Senate machinations. Tax reform hasn't moved an inch. Funding for the border wall hasn't happened. And so on.

Nobody calls him out on his lying, of course, but what's worse is that all the cabinet members then go on to abase themselves in their eagerness to flatter Trump. How about this nauseating example from Reince Priebus:-
"We thank you for the opportunity and blessing to serve your agenda."
Maybe it's the creepy use of the word "blessing" that really raises a red flag for me. Here we have the U.S. cabinet prepared to ignore unassailable evidence and to sacrifice their individual political credibility in order to publicly declare their loyalty to a proven liar suspected of obstruction of justice. It's a horrible abnegation of intellectual independence that makes me think of those Branch Davidians or some other cult, in which adults who should know better are in thrall to some "charismatic" leader. Another sinister, cultish element is the dynamics of the interactions; there's no cabinet member-to-cabinet member chat, it's all "Me to my leader, Me to my leader." Really, one of the most disgusting political performances I've ever seen.

The truth is Comey might go to prison. Mueller might not want any of that. Andrew McCabe is obviously afraid to arrest Trump even though he openly admitted to breaking the law. The fact that Trump has fired Comey and still isn't arrested but rather acting president is absolute proof America is now a dictatorship. It's still in its infancy and can be stopped but it's going to have to be a physical removal of Trump from office. Waiting for a new congress to impeach isn't going to cut it. He tweeted that Comey's "leaking" was "totally illegal?" (His question mark). He's therefore trying to have Comey arrested. I think it has a great chance of working. We need to be very honest with ourselves about what's happening and considering what's at stake what we're willing to do to stop it.

^ Yes, incredible as it seems, the U.S. seems to be edging ever closer to this scenario.
