^ Not sure how Converge got lumped in there, but yeah, can't really get behind most of this. The intensity is appreciated, but the 'songwriting' does nothing for me. No real twists and turns, no aural narrative. Strange that whirring noise, screaming guitars, and 300 BPM blasts could sound so boring.

edit: DJ Incompetent's contributions are solid, but Alter of Plagues doesn't fit in with this thread at all.
