Default Visceral Bleeding - Absorbing the Disarray

Visceral Bleeding - Metal Archives

Technical, brutal death metal from everyone's favorite country of longhairs, Sweden. Absorbing the Disarray is a whip-fast journey through mania. Tight, precise riffing; unsettling, but intelligible vocals; and drumming that calls to mind the phrase 'controlled chaos'. This album slays, anyone with an interest in death metal should listen to this.

As a side note, I own close to 800 physical CDs and tapes as of last count, but suprisingly few (considering my taste) fall into the 'brutal/technical death metal' category. Visceral Bleeding's Absorbing the Disarray is a record I bought, full stop shortly after its release. It's that good (and contains many earworms that take a few listens to truly dig in). At almost 10 years old, few bands have improved on their sound - and skill.

Fans of Spawn of Possession, mid-era Cryptopsy, and Augury should give this a listen.
