But you're not marching for anything that can be affected. He's already president. Nobody is going to look at you yahoos and come to any realizations that they already had or hadn't throughout the election, or else he would never have been elected in the first place. But if he starts making waves with encouraging this or that policy that you don't agree with, and you can form a protest with a coherent goal and narrative that addresses something that can be changed NOW/THEN, then it might actually be worth doing.

This comes later on in the process. Strategizing and coming up with a specific campaign around an issue. Base building then leading up to another action.
Yes this is kind of pointless but it's more about being symbolic and using the energy wrapped around people's fears to stand up and show power in numbers. The protests that are going on today and tomorrow. Also of course there are anarchists that just want to run around and break **** but there are other protesters out there as well.
